AI Reg Check is a vehicle-information and decision-support service designed to help users understand UK vehicles before purchasing, selling or managing them.

Depending on the product selected, the service may include:

• vehicle identity and specification information;
• MOT history and advisories;
• mileage analysis;
• market valuation information;
• available ownership and vehicle-history indicators;
• AI Vehicle Assessment;
• AI Buy Score™ where eligible, when both current mileage and asking price are supplied;
• "Would I Buy It?" assessment where eligible, when both current mileage and asking price are supplied;
• Online Trace and related vehicle intelligence where available;
• Full Vehicle History;
• finance information;
• insurance write-off information;
• stolen vehicle markers;
• scrappage information;
• import/export information;
• registration history;
• Full History Verified assessments;
• downloadable certificates;
• My Checks;
• My Garage; and
• MOT and tax reminders.

The precise information included depends on the product purchased and the information available for the particular vehicle.

The AI Vehicle Check combines vehicle information with automated analysis designed to make complex vehicle data easier to understand.

Rather than simply presenting raw records, AI Reg Check analyses available information and highlights matters that may deserve further investigation.

Outputs may include:

• AI Buy Score™ from 0–100, where eligible and when both current mileage and asking price are supplied;
• written AI assessment;
• "Would I Buy It?" assessment where eligible, when both current mileage and asking price are supplied;
• MOT and mileage analysis;
• valuation analysis; and
• other observations generated from available vehicle information.

The AI Vehicle Check is a decision-support service.

It is not a mechanical inspection and does not physically examine the vehicle.

A Full Vehicle History Check provides additional provenance information beyond the standard AI Vehicle Check.

Depending on data availability, this may include information concerning:

• outstanding finance;
• insurance write-offs;
• stolen vehicle records;
• scrapped vehicle records;
• import/export status;
• keeper/history information;
• registration plate changes;
• mileage information; and
• other provenance markers.

When a Full Vehicle History Check has been successfully completed, the additional information may be incorporated into the vehicle's Full History Verified AI assessment.

A certificate may also be generated and associated with the purchased report.

AI Buy Score™ and "Would I Buy It?" are designed to help users interpret vehicle information.

The AI Buy Score™ and "Would I Buy It?" assessment are available only where eligibility requirements are met, including provision of both current mileage and asking price.

They are opinions generated from the data available to AI Reg Check at the time the check is performed.

They are not:

• a warranty;
• a guarantee that a vehicle is fault-free;
• a guarantee of future reliability;
• a mechanical inspection;
• a safety inspection;
• financial advice;
• legal advice;
• a guarantee of value;
• a guarantee that a vehicle should be purchased; or
• a replacement for appropriate physical inspection and due diligence.

A high score does not mean that a vehicle cannot have mechanical, structural, cosmetic, legal or other problems that are not contained within the data available to us.

Similarly, a lower score does not necessarily mean that a vehicle is unsuitable.

The final decision whether to inspect, purchase, sell or use a vehicle remains yours.

Before purchasing a vehicle, we strongly recommend that you:

• inspect the vehicle;
• confirm the registration and Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) match the vehicle and documentation;
• check the V5C where appropriate;
• verify important information with the seller;
• investigate warnings highlighted by AI Reg Check;
• obtain an appropriate mechanical inspection where warranted; and
• satisfy yourself that the vehicle is suitable for your needs.

AI Reg Check complements these checks; it does not replace them.

AI Reg Check obtains vehicle information from third-party, commercial, industry, government and other data sources.

We take reasonable steps to use reputable sources and present information accurately.

However, vehicle datasets can occasionally be:

• incorrect;
• incomplete;
• delayed;
• unavailable; or
• inconsistent between sources.

Some events may not yet have been reported to the relevant data provider when a check is performed.

A report therefore represents the information available to the service at the time of the check.

Where a report identifies something important, or where you believe information may be incorrect, you should investigate it before relying upon it to make a significant purchasing decision.

Some parts of the assessment may depend upon information you enter, including:

• registration number;
• current mileage;
• purchase price or asking price; and
• other information requested by the service.

You are responsible for checking that this information is accurate before running a paid check.

Incorrect information may affect valuations, analysis and AI outputs.

Some features require an AI Reg Check account.

You are responsible for:

• providing accurate account information;
• maintaining access to your registered email or linked authentication method;
• keeping your account secure; and
• notifying us if you believe your account has been compromised.

Where supported, email, Google and Apple authentication methods may be linked to the same account.

Your checks, Garage, credits, purchases and reports are associated with your AI Reg Check account and should not be deliberately transferred between unrelated users except where we expressly provide such functionality.

AI Credits may be purchased and used to perform eligible AI Vehicle Checks.

The number of credits required for a check will be displayed before the check is run.

Credits:

• have no cash value outside AI Reg Check;
• cannot normally be exchanged for cash;
• may only be used for eligible AI Reg Check services; and
• remain subject to applicable consumer rights.

Reopening a previously completed report does not consume another AI Credit unless the user expressly chooses to run a new or refreshed check.

Where a refresh requires a new data request, the required credit cost will be shown before the refresh is confirmed.

Full Vehicle History Credits may be purchased individually or in available packs.

One Full Vehicle History Credit may be consumed when a new eligible Full Vehicle History Check is requested.

The applicable cost will be shown before confirmation.

Where Full Vehicle History includes an associated AI assessment as part of the product purchased, the customer should not be charged an additional AI Credit for that included assessment unless this is clearly disclosed before purchase.

Where AI Reg Check offers a free first check, promotional credit or other offer, eligibility may be limited by account, person, device, payment method or other reasonable anti-abuse measures.

Promotional credits:

• are not redeemable for cash;
• may be subject to specific promotional conditions; and
• may be withdrawn where we reasonably believe an offer has been abused or obtained fraudulently.

Prices are shown before purchase.

Where VAT applies, pricing and invoices will identify it as appropriate.

Payments may be processed through approved payment processors, app stores, Google Pay, Apple Pay or other payment methods made available by us.

Your purchase is complete when payment has been successfully authorised and accepted.

If a payment fails or is reversed, we may withhold the corresponding credits or service until valid payment has been received.

Our vehicle checks and reports are digital services that may begin shortly after you instruct us to run a check.

Before purchasing, you will be shown the service and price and asked to confirm the transaction.

Where consumer cancellation rights apply, we will comply with them.

Where the law requires your express consent for immediate performance of a digital service during a cancellation period, our checkout process should obtain that consent and any acknowledgement required by law before the service begins.

Once a vehicle check has been fully performed and supplied following a valid request for immediate performance, cancellation rights may be affected as provided by applicable consumer law.

This does not affect your rights where a service is faulty, has not been provided as described, or where you otherwise have a legal right to a remedy.

We will investigate the transaction and, where appropriate, restore the credit, rerun the service or provide another remedy.

Purchased reports and certificates may be stored against your account for convenient future access.

A certificate records the result of the relevant Full Vehicle History Check at the time it was performed.

It does not mean that AI Reg Check has physically inspected, approved or certified the mechanical condition of the vehicle.

Vehicle information can change after a report is generated. A previously generated report or certificate should not be treated as confirmation of the vehicle's status at a later date.

My Checks provides access to vehicle checks previously carried out through your account.

Reopening an existing report is normally free.

If you choose to refresh or rerun a report using current data, this may constitute a new check and may require a credit. Any charge will be displayed before you confirm it.

My Garage allows you to save vehicles and relevant information to your account.

Garage information may include MOT dates, tax dates, mileage, previous checks, Full Vehicle History status, vehicle images and reminder settings.

Information displayed in My Garage should not be relied upon as the sole source for determining whether a vehicle is legally permitted to be driven.

You remain responsible for checking and maintaining your vehicle's legal and roadworthy status.

Where available, AI Reg Check may provide optional MOT and tax reminders.

Reminder settings may include notifications at intervals such as 30 days, 14 days, 7 days and 1 day before a recorded due date.

These reminders are a convenience feature only.

Delivery can be affected by email providers, device settings, technical problems or outdated underlying information.

You remain responsible for ensuring your vehicle is correctly taxed, tested, insured and otherwise legally compliant regardless of whether a reminder is received.

Where offered, Online Trace may search or analyse publicly indexed online evidence associated with a vehicle, including current or confirmed previous registrations where available.

Online Trace findings are public-web evidence, not official vehicle-history records or proof of an event. Results depend upon information that is publicly available, accessible to our systems and capable of being associated with the vehicle.

The absence of a result does not mean that no relevant online information exists.

Results may also relate to historical listings or information that has subsequently changed. Live Market Trace, where offered, searches vehicle-profile comparables rather than the specific registration; advertised prices are asking prices, not confirmed sale prices, and limited comparable evidence may not support a reliable average.

Users should independently verify relevant findings before relying upon them.

You must not use AI Reg Check:

• unlawfully;
• fraudulently;
• to interfere with the service;
• to attempt unauthorised access to accounts or systems;
• to scrape, harvest or systematically extract our database or reports;
• to reverse engineer protected parts of our service except where the law expressly permits it;
• to resell reports or data without permission;
• to circumvent payment or credit systems;
• to abuse free-check or promotional systems; or
• in a way that infringes the rights of another person.

We may restrict or suspend access where we reasonably believe the service is being misused.

The AI Reg Check website, applications, software, design, branding, reports, scoring presentation and original content are owned by or licensed to ECUFLASH LTD.

AI Reg Check™ and AI Buy Score™ are branding used by ECUFLASH LTD.

Purchasing a report gives you the right to use that report for your own legitimate personal or business purposes. It does not transfer ownership of the underlying software, databases, branding or intellectual property.

We aim to keep AI Reg Check available and reliable, but online services can occasionally be interrupted.

Services may be temporarily unavailable because of:

• maintenance;
• third-party data-provider outages;
• payment-provider outages;
• internet or hosting failures;
• security incidents; or
• circumstances outside our reasonable control.

Where a paid check fails because of a technical problem, we will take reasonable steps to restore the service or provide an appropriate remedy.

We will provide our services with reasonable care and skill as required by applicable law.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so, and nothing in these terms affects your statutory consumer rights.

AI Reg Check is responsible for providing the service we agree to provide.

However, we are not responsible for losses caused solely by circumstances outside our reasonable control, inaccurate information supplied by a user, or a user's decision to ignore clear warnings contained in a report, except where the law provides otherwise.

Because AI Reg Check is a data-based service rather than a physical vehicle inspection, we cannot promise that a report will identify a defect or event that is not contained in, or reasonably detectable from, the information available to the service.

If you use AI Reg Check wholly or mainly for the purposes of a trade or business, additional business terms or account arrangements may apply.

Nothing in this section is intended to remove rights that legally apply to a user acting as a consumer.

We may suspend or restrict an account where reasonably necessary because of:

• suspected fraud;
• payment abuse;
• security concerns;
• serious or repeated breach of these terms;
• unlawful use; or
• attempts to compromise our systems or data providers.

Where reasonably possible, we will explain the reason and provide an opportunity to contact us.

We may improve, modify or replace features as AI Reg Check develops.

We may also update prices for future purchases.

Changes will not retrospectively alter the price of a completed purchase.

If a material change affects existing paid rights or services, we will deal with it fairly and in accordance with applicable law.

We may update these Terms & Conditions to reflect changes to the service, law, technology or business.

The latest version will be published on this page with an updated revision date.

Material changes affecting existing users will be communicated where appropriate.

Our handling of personal information is explained in our Privacy Policy.

Please provide enough information for us to identify the relevant account, transaction or vehicle check.

We will investigate complaints reasonably and aim to resolve genuine service problems promptly.

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws applicable in England and Wales.

If you are a consumer living elsewhere in the United Kingdom, you may also benefit from mandatory protections and rights available under the law applicable to you.

Nothing in these terms is intended to deprive a consumer of rights they cannot legally waive.
