What is an AI car check?
AI Reg Check brings available vehicle data together to help you assess a car. An AI Buy Score and “Would I Buy It?” recommendation are shown only when both current mileage and asking price have been supplied. The assessment is decision support, not a substitute for inspecting the vehicle.
What information does AI Reg Check use?
Depending on availability, information can include MOT history, recorded mileage, valuations, ownership context and known model issues. Model-level issues are buyer checks, not evidence that an individual vehicle has a fault.
How is the AI Buy Score calculated?
The AI Buy Score is part of an eligible AI Buy Assessment and is shown only when both current mileage and asking price are supplied. The report explains available evidence; it is not a guarantee or an inspection.
What does Would I Buy It? mean?
It is the recommendation component of an eligible AI Buy Assessment. “Would I Buy It?” is shown only when current mileage and asking price are supplied, and should be used as decision support rather than a decision on your behalf.
Does the assessment replace an inspection?
No. It is decision support based on available information. It does not replace a physical inspection, VIN/V5C verification or a qualified mechanical/body inspection where appropriate.
What happens if the user enters an asking price?
Current mileage and asking price are both required for the AI Buy Score and “Would I Buy It?” recommendation. A supplied price can also be considered alongside available valuation information; asking prices do not establish achieved sale prices.
How much does an AI Vehicle Check cost?

Why is the first assessment provisional?
An AI Vehicle Check provides an initial view from available vehicle data. The Full History + Online Trace™ flagship check adds supported official/provider history and vehicle-specific public-web research. No check can establish that nothing adverse exists.
Why can Full Vehicle History change the score?
Full History adds further available history information to consider. Any eligible assessment reflects the information available, but it cannot replace physical inspection, VIN/V5C verification or a qualified mechanical/body inspection where appropriate.
